Returns Policy

Like any customer, when we buy anything online, we also have an idea of what we want from that transaction, so free delivery on everything is a great start along with really handy shipping options should I need it that bit quicker is also very welcome, as long as they are not overpriced, so at £2.89 for a Tracked 48 delivery & £3.89 for the Tracked 24 delivery service, we feel the speedy delivery options look very reasonable & competitive.
What would also be very handy is a good period of time to consider my new blanket in its setting, especially helpful when trying to marry-up colours or fabrics to a room, so a period of 21 days to decide would be ideal.
At Blanket World we offer a return to base refund for all our blankets that are returned back to our offices in original condition within 21 days of arrival to the customer, the arrival date is classed as the day the courier makes the final scan at your delivery address.
When returning items, please remember to include the details of the original order, such as the order number, your name & postcode with your blanket & let us know if you wish to return your order for an exchange or for a refund.
Help us by carefully refolding your blanket and ensure that all labels and swing tickets etc. are returned too, any labels or additional display packaging such as ‘blanket bands’ must also accompany your blanket return.
We aim to process a return & refund within 5 working days after receipt, but the majority of refunds are actioned within 3 working days, it may be a tiny bit slower at busy times of the year.
All refunds are sent back to the original payment method used.
Please ensure you use a recognised courier for your return and ensure it is covered for damage or loss whilst on its way back to us, we will deduct a £3.95 restocking fee from your refund to help towards the cost of processing your refund, refolding or ironing & repackaging. Please note: if you paid to upgrade your initial order delivery to one of the quicker 24 or 48 hour delivery services, the additional cost of that quicker delivery cannot be refunded.
All final scan tracking numbers can be independently verified for timings of your blankets delivery to you by visting the Royal Mail Track & Trace website here: https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item and entering your tracking number provided to you in the purchase emails automatically sent to you when placing your order, you can then add the 21 days to that delivery date to establish how long you have to consider whether you wish to return your order.
With respect to the next Blanket World customer, please do not attempt to return any blankets that are not going to arrive back to us within the 21 days returns period, as these blankets will be sold off site as second hand at a discounted price as no longer classed as brand new, we in turn will deduct £15 from the refund amount for each blanket should customers decide to still send blankets back to us after the 21 days period described above.
Our hope is that everyone will respect the return to base refund within the 21 days of delivery.
Our intention is to be fair to all parties using our website and it is not our wish to make any deductions from refunds unless customers exceed our already generous returns procedures & timelines.
